The whole feathers, moccasins and leather fringe thing has seemed to make a big comeback this summer…..but when the feathers are dyed funky colours and paired with plastic beads, I can’t say I equate them with anything Native…….

Family is important in the Filipino culture coz this is where their children are trained,taught & educate about the Filipino customs & traditions like :Respect for the Elders,Using “PO & OPO”,PRAYING THE ANGELUS every 6:00 pm.AND being a law abiding citizen of their country…

1. Don’t rant. It doesn’t bring any more respect than a simple, to-the-point question.

2. Don’t generalize. It’s too bad some folks may have done it to you, but like the age old adage says “two wrongs don’t make a right”.

3. Don’t name-call. See point #2.

4. Where are you getting this idea from? Where I live in the US, whites and Filipinos live and work together very peacefully as a whole. We are friends and neighbors and raise our kids together.

Don’t worry many countries are looked down upon and digraded latin america countries for example(they’re called savages,drug dealers,mutts etc) asian countries(indians are called pakis,terroists,etc) east asian countries too(men are know for they’re small penis (cock) and laughed at by others)others are looked down upon too. In europe they call americans idiots and fatties, and america is the #1 most succesful country in the world! So don’t worry about it and also for the record i don’t think filipinos are looked down upon as much as east asian countries at least from what i heard usually filipinos are a mix and mixes are sexy in america cuz there are soo many biracial kid AND since filipinos are a mix we can’t call all of them small dicks(cock) for guys and the girls.
I never really had friends that looked down at any country it just depends on how you were raised.

“The tribal style originates from the old tribes like the Celtic, the Maori tribes, the Haida tribes, the inhabitants of the Marquesan and the tribes of Borneo. What a lot of people now recognize as Tribal is in fact a new style: New Tribalism are the remains of the old Tribal style. Particularly the Borneo style shows a lot of resemblance with New Tribalism.”

Tribal tattoos come from many different places… From Ireland and New Zealand to Borneo. Many of the current tribal tattoos don’t resemble any of history’s tribal tattoos and is in fact a totally new style in it’s own. The word Tribal can mean any tribe anywhere so I don’t think it’s particularly offensive to anyone.
