“Family” is a very broad term, that is why I did not elaborate on the questiom more- I want to know what other (mainly Filipino) peoples’ perspectives and interpretations of the word is.
Or “are”… whatever… lol…

FAMILY is important in the filipino culture as this is the basic unit of the society where children are taught of their values,virtues & obligations on the Filipino society.

Respect of brothers and sisters, from the eldest to the youngest. Love and affection, understanding, caring each member on the family or helping one another in many other ways and many others.
Family is important in the Filipino culture coz this is where their children are trained,taught & educate about the Filipino customs & traditions like :Respect for the Elders,Using “PO & OPO”,PRAYING THE ANGELUS every 6:00 pm.AND being a law abiding citizen of their country…
