Every mom in the whole world looks forward to this one Sunday of May out of the whole year to be lavished with a little extra affection, appreciation and attention from their husband and children. Being a mom is definitely one of the toughest jobs out there, so we put our hats off to the women who brighten up every household.
This Mother’s Day, we give a tribute to but a few ladies, both local and international, who juggle work and celebrity status with being a 24/7 super mom.

Despite her crazy stint a while back, the pop star has managed to put herself back on her feet and fight for the custody of her children. She’s dodged every criticism that’s come her way and is miles healthier and happier compared to the train wreck she was in 2008. She must be given credit for cleaning up her act after battling with herself and other people. Although she probably still has a long way before she can be the perfect mom, by abiding court orders of parenting counseling and continuous rehabilitation, she’s definitely taking steps to be a better one to her two sons, Sean and Jayden.

But even with all the projects coming her way, the Queen of Game Shows and daughter of late former President Cory Aquino knows her priorities, and family is at the top of her list.
Kris Aquino says that she’s lucky to be part of a network such a ABS-CBN, who has been very considerate of her family situation. Despite her daily tapings for SNN, Pinoy’s Got Talent, and the Sunday show The Buzz, she’s s still able to set aside time for Joshua and baby James despite her busy and almost full schedule.

Not only is she the wife of the handsome Tom Cruise, but she also gave birth to Suri, who is probably the cutest baby ever to be photographed by the paparazzi. This once simple and darling girl-next-door of Dawson’s Creek has evolved into one of the most followed and talked-about celebrity moms.
Being a parent, according to Mrs. Cruise, takes a lot of responsibilities and can be overwhelming, but all the same, it is a sweet and magical experience for her. From simply strolling around the park to shopping trips in Paris, she always has her three year old propped on her arm, showing that no matter how famous she is, motherhood will always come first.

Although she constantly travels around for shows, and has late night rehearsals, she always makes time for family and explains that time management is the key.
Other than requiring a lot of patience, being a parent, according to the Broadway sensation, means supporting and guiding your children to be whatever kind of person they want to be in the future. She doesn’t expect her little girl to follow her exact footsteps, but instead she wants her to dream her own dreams.

Apart from a steady career in acting and hosting on GMA 7 and the endless line of product endorsements, Carmina Villaroel also takes the role of a loving mother and caring wife. As much as she surely enjoys her career, she cherishes the opportunity to be with her twins, Maverick and Cassandra, the most. She expresses the importance of family time and explains that they use their photo shoots and commercial tapings as a form of family bonding. The perfectly happy image her family shows off on those ice cream and corned beef commercials are no doubt accurate inside their homes.
Carmina always finds the time to spend with her kids in spite of her hectic work schedule. She says that motherhood made her realize what it was like to love unconditionally, and that being a parent must also mean being a friend.

Mixing acting and politics is tough, but add motherhood to the formula, and it could be a disaster. But leave these tasks to the right woman, and she will surely amaze. Governor Vilma Santos lives an intricate life of juggling two jobs plus being a mother to two boys, Luis and Ryan.
Despite the challenges that come with motherhood, according to the Star for all Seasons, it remains to be her greatest source of joy and achievement. Credit definitely goes to her for always putting family first over fame and success, and embodying the true meaning of motherhood, not only in her movie and television roles, but also in real life.

Michelle Obama says that her girls once reminded her that her top responsibility of being the First Lady is to be First Mom. Being at the top-center of the political world’s attention, she’s able to tackle social issues that are important to her. But for Mrs. Obama, it will always be her husband and her two girls who she’ll think about first when she wakes up in the morning and last before she goes to sleep at night.

If there’s an award for being Supermom, it would no doubt go to Angelina Jolie. As if six kids aren’t enough to keep her busy, she also dedicates time and effort to her humanitarian work, while at the same time filming for upcoming movies.
Living such a jam-packed lifestyle and always at the public’s watchful eye, it comes to no surprise that Angelina would wish more freedom for her and her kids.
“I would like to have more freedom, especially to have the chance to be more spontaneous with my kids. Would I like to be able to walk through the streets with my kids? Of course. Would I like to be able to wander around Manhattan and buy them an ice cream like other mothers? Of course. But it is not possible. On the other hand, every morning, I wake up with the people who are the most dear to me in the whole world. That’s why I don’t feel isolated from that, which is important to me.”
Of course, balancing work and parenting would not be possible without the help of partner Brad Pitt, as they both agree to have a timetable for work and take turns in staying at home to take care of the kids.
