As our bodies age, so must our clothes. Ask any teenager that (even your own, if you have one), and they’ll tell you that there’s a specific type of clothing for each age group. Her tanktop and skinny jeans are not part of yours.
Feeling younger does not mean invading her fashion space (or that of any younger generation): it’s all about looking your best. Learn how to flatter your body without doing a style overhaul even if you’re out of shape.
No matter how old you are, with the right clothes and accessories together with a positive attitude, whatever age you’re in can become the new 20.
Flatter yourself
The key to dealing with physical changes while still looking your best is to refresh your look. You can refresh your look by opting for looks that are more classic and flattering.
Wrap dresses flatter any figure (not to mention the fact that they’re ultra-feminine). Go for slimming vertical stripes, which also give the illusion of being taller. Women with larger busts should take advantage of any v-neck top, instead of those with round or high necklines.

Create a look, don’t steal one.
Trendy is no longer attractive. Don’t worry about the trend of the moment. Instead, find a print or a bold piece of jewelry and develop a signature look. Speaking of jewelry, big pieces are preferred than dangling ones. Don’t dress too young. The worst thing you can do is to dress younger than you are. It’s tacky.

Accessorize (appropriately)
Shoes and bags are the quickest way to update your look. Again choose shoes and bags that are not too fancy. It’s always safe to choose less than more.

Flaunt the right assets
A big no to sleeveless tops if you’ve developed flabby arms. But you should also skip baggy clothes. Instead, look for pieces that give you shape.
Focus on shoulders and legs. They are the slowest to age. You can bring attention to your legs with a knee-length skirt and sexy shoes.
No miniskirts, regardless of how your legs are.

Adjust your color wheel
Don’t experiment with colors. Choose one or two from colors that blend well. To play safe, choose clothes with less print or better yet, choose plain clothes. Purple can flatter figures that are more on the mature side. The same goes with the darker shades of red, and blue.
To look natural and carefree without looking frivolous, wear light colors. A trick to do this is to wear a bit of white close to the face. Soft colors like pale pink, white, beige, and ice blue brighten up the face.

Glam up from the neck up
To camouflage your wrinkled neck, choose stand-up or turn-up collars. Your hair has to suit as well. Get a fresh cut. Shorter hair gives more lift and your hairstylist can suggest a complementing hairdo for you.
