Accessories can either complement an outfit, or become thepièce de résistance, if worn and matched properly. If one is not careful, however, the tiniest accessory can become the eyesore that throws off the entire ensemble.

Armlets

Armlets are beautiful pieces of ornaments that are worn around the upper portion of either arm, a few inches above the elbow.  They go best with sleeveless dresses or tops. Show off those beautiful arms by wearing a complimenting piece of armlet, either in gold or silver with those tiny shiny studs embellished on it.

Anklets

Originating from the Asian region, anklets, from the word itself, are worn by women of all ages to show off their beautiful ankles. Anklets are usually made of silver or gold, among other materials. Tiny pieces of bells are often attached to most anklets, producing a tinkling sound. Loop it around your feet and tighten the clasp and you’re good to go.

Nose Pins

Nose pins are tiny pieces of jewelry that come in various styles, with or without stones.  These days, there is no need to pierce the nose to wear them: press-on nose pins are available in the market.  Styles vary from the smallest diamond chip to a small circular golden ring.  Nose pins are an instant attention grabber and can potentially even break the ice at any party.

Other accessories

Versatility these days means everything: people no longer settle for items of one-time use and that includes accessories. Other accessories include scarves and hair trinkets: bands, clips, even temporary hair extensions. 

Wear a ponytail with a nice, colorful scarf.  Add some hair jewelry for a striking look.  You can also go for some fresh flowers for a refreshing, cheerful addition.

Always remember: whether you’re attending a casual party or a swank, formal affair, match your accessories with your dress, and the occasion.  It will pay off well to have that harmony.
